The Leijiverse – 1/72 scale projects
I think we can all agree that 1/72 scale is really the “one true scale”, no?
Quite conveniently, Hasegawa decided to (re)release many of their 1/72 scale Leiji Matsumoto kits under their “Creator Works” series of licensed material. Although several of the kits have been released before, the boxings featuring The Cockpit livery are out-of-print and hard to find.
While the Creator Works line has picked out some gems from the series, it’s certainly not very comprehensive and several of tHasegawa’s kit moulds are a little long in the tooth. As such, most of the builds will feature more modern kit toolings (mainly from other companies) coupled with the Hasegawa decals (when necessary). In cases where a Hasegawa kit simply doesn’t exists, the best/most cost effective alternative will be coupled with the best homemade decals I can manage.

Basically if it’s one of the vehicles that appears in the Cockpit manga, and is feasible to build in 1/72 scale (i.e. no Aircraft Carriers), then it’s on the list.
